Exercise features require continuous use of GPS location services. Running tracking will be maintained in the background to some extent, causing higher battery consumption and impacting battery life.
Step count, heart rate, sleep data, and other information will be written to Apple Health with your permission for easy access and will be read from Apple Health to summarize your recent health information.
